Susan Storti established and continues to direct Learning & Language Specialists. For more than 30 years, she has practiced as a diagnostician, therapist, educator, and writer. Dr. Storti is a Licensed Psychologist and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Language and Speech Pathology. Her broad and diverse professional and educational background encompasses communication disorders, learning sciences, cognitive studies, neuropsychology, and special education. Dr. Storti’s practice employs a multifaceted team approach to evaluate, identify, and treat individual cognitive styles and challenges.
Licensed Psychologist/Neurocognitive Specialist/Therapist
Dr. Amy Hilburger, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, has many years of experience providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations as well as psychotherapy. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults. Particular areas of interest related to assessment include advocacy for cognitive disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia, and pervasive developmental disorders. She strives to provide post-assessment feedback that is thorough, understandable, and helpful, with distinct prioritization regarding next steps. Areas of interest related to psychotherapy include depression, anxiety, phobias, and ADHD therapy and coaching.
Dr. Kendra Woodworth received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Minnesota School of professional psychology. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and psychotherapy. Areas of interest for therapy include anxiety, depression, ADHD/executive functioning therapy and coaching, attachment, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Dr. Woodworth implements a combination of therapeutic techniques with consideration of clinical presentation, objectives for therapy, and client preferences.
Educational Specialist/School Consultant
Lois holds advanced degrees in speech pathology and audiology, special education administration, and school administration. During her 36 years in public education, she worked in four Minnesota school districts. For nineteen years she was an elementary principal. Her job responsibilities at Learning and Language Specialists include speech/language evaluations, liaison support for school conferences and programming, and individual cognitive strategy training in areas of executive functioning and organization skills.
Carolyn graduated from Gustavus Adolophus College with a B.A. in education and continued her training by obtaining a Master’s Degree in special education at the University of St. Thomas. She has helped students with learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders for 18 years. She later attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and obtained her license as a school psychologist.
LuAnn has managed the offices of Learning & Language Specialists since it was established in 1976. She received her education at Minnesota School of Business in Medical Adminstration and has gained experience and knowlege over the years in neuropsychology, insurance, and medical billing. She will probably be the first person you have contact with at Learning & Language Specialists and will be happy to answer questions, set up appointments, and help you with insurance and the billing process.
